Leave it to Nintendo to find a way to slip Zelda into the mix right before Black Friday. I have a feeling that we won’t be able to find this game on store shelves that weekend. At least now we know when it’s coming, and we can prepare ourselves for Link’s last adventure on the Wii.
Although, just a quick side note: Did you notice that Twilight Princess came out at the end of the GameCube’s life cycle, and now Skyward Sword is doing the same thing for the Wii? I wonder if a Nintendo is instituting a new policy where a Zelda game means the kiss of death for that console? Just a thought.

New Xbox360 Dashboard!
Yesterday, I was on Reddit and saw someone talking about how they had received extra MS points in their rewards program account. I quickly logged into my account to double check the whole Rewards Program pay out, and I found that I had 1000 extra points in my account. Since I was already in the market to pick up From Dust and Insanely Twisted Shadow Planet (to which, I had 2420 points in my account…20 more than was actually needed), I bought them both instantly. Now, at this time, I did not know of the glitch. I thought that the rewards program had just been very generous.
Xbox Support on Twitter announced the issue, and claimed to have owned up to the glitch and left the points on the accounts of those who had received them. It turns out now that they have eliminated those points from users’ accounts that didn’t go on a spending spree.
So check your accounts, you might have a surprise if Xbox hasn’t gotten to you yet.

I understand the drive to keep people from buying used games, but this is getting ridiculous. If you want to stop someone from buying a used game, then restricting multiplayer seems like a solid approach…but now id Software is adding a DRM that will restrict certain single player content from people who haven’t entered the online pass that comes with the game when you buy it new. Sure, the restricted content will only be bonus missions, not integral to the plot, but where does it fucking end?
I want RAGE, I do. I think it’s going to kick serious ass…but this is sullied it in my mind. Damn you Bethesda Softworks….damn you for making id do this.
